WebRevamp analyses publicly visible web pages. Most of what it handles is about a website, not about a person — this explains the parts that are about a person.

The controller for the data described here is Taasmiq Technologies, at Kalyanpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The website address you submit, and the publicly accessible content of the pages fetched from it. Up to 4 pages on a free diagnosis and up to 15 on a paid one. We do not log in to anything, fill in forms, or reach pages that are not publicly reachable.
An anonymous session identifier. A cookie named wdtb_cid holds a random id with a signature, so a diagnosis can be shown back to the browser that ran it without anyone creating an account. It is HTTP-only, restricted to this site, and expires after twelve months. It contains no name, email or address, and is not used for advertising.
Product analytics. Events such as “a diagnosis was viewed” or “checkout started”, recorded against that anonymous id. These carry no personal details, and there is no third-party analytics or advertising script anywhere on this site.
Your IP address, briefly. It is used to rate-limit scans, checkouts and service requests so the service cannot be trivially abused. It is held only as a short-lived counter key that expires within twenty-four hours, and is never written to our database.
Contact details, only if you send them. If you request services we store the name, email, and any company, budget or message you provide, along with the diagnosis you chose to attach. If you ask us to email a diagnosis, we store that address and the consent given with it — consent to receive the report you asked for is recorded separately from consent to anything else, and the second is never assumed.
Payment status, not payment details. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never reaches our servers. We store the payment's status, amount and Stripe reference, plus the email address Stripe returns for the purchase.
Running the diagnosis you asked for, and giving you the report you paid for, is performance of a contract. Keeping the service working — rate limiting, fraud and abuse prevention, and understanding which parts of the product get used — is our legitimate interest, and is done with anonymous identifiers wherever it can be. Marketing email, if it is ever sent, happens only on consent you gave separately and can withdraw.
We use a small number of providers, each for one job:
Some of these operate outside the EEA, and so do we: Taasmiq Technologies is based in Bangladesh, which does not hold an EU adequacy decision. If you are in the EEA, using this service means your data is transferred outside it — to our providers and to us. Where that happens we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Plainly: there is no automated deletion yet. Scans, findings and service requests are kept until removed on request. Rate-limit keys expire on their own within twenty-four hours, and the session cookie expires after twelve months.
A defined retention period has not been set. Until it is, this section describes what actually happens rather than what we intend to happen.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to studio@webrevamp.net and we will act on it.
Because most data here is tied to an anonymous cookie rather than an account, tell us the website address you analysed and roughly when, so the right records can be found.
You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Our crawler identifies itself in your access logs as WebRevampBot, with a link back to this site. It reads publicly available pages only, at a small number of pages per scan.
Anyone can submit any address, so a diagnosis of your website may have been run by someone other than you. If you would like a diagnosis of your site deleted, or your domain blocked from future scans, write to us and we will do it.
